Thank-you J9 for taking the time to post the interview Q&A for all us!

It was so nice to listen to the podcast because you really get Ms. Charlaine's sense of humor from hearing her speak. And I find that intonation is often very revealing.

Yes, everything sounds better with the correct voice. The Harry Potter series, for instance, sounds best with a British accent, and when British authors are talking it really helps to hear them in person. Same with a Southern intonation. It really helps for picking up nuance.

However, I still love the feel of a book in my hands, and only use audiobooks for long car trips. I still manage to get quite a lot out of the actual print.

J9- THANKS, Thank-you, Many Thanks! (I'm out of ways to say it, but I'd more a couple dozen more if I could!)

Wow J9, thanks for that post!

I was wondering about Charlaine Harris's booksigning events, is it OK to video tape Charlaine at her booksigning? Some authors have stated they don't allow this at certain events, while others are fine with it. Just want to make sure. Thanks

I really enjoy listening to (and watching) Charlaine's interviews, too. She is both charming and entertaining; I highly recommend listening to the podcast if you get a chance. And the ladies at sookiestackhouse.com did a fabulous job with the interview--something I neglected to mention earlier.

Considering how much speculation there is about the series, I think it's useful to have her comments readily available (and searchable) so that posters can keep their facts straight . . . much less chance for things to be misinterpreted that way.
